Roland Wesner’s oeuvre covers a big number of individual pieces. 1500 pictorial and 400 graphic works, amongst them 25 serigraphies, have been counted.

Characteristic of Wesner’s language of images is his principle commitment to abstract picture forms, in which color, form and composition primarily make up the pictorial expression. In addition, he always maintained his high affinity towards the world of things, to which he alluded in numerous images, titles and themes. This way he comes up with ever new variations of classical genres like landscape, still lifes, nude portraits and portraits or the like.
